Introduction

Busy Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is a sister concern of Digitronics Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. It was incorporated on 12th of August 1997 essentially to focus on development & marketing of business accounting software under the trademark of Busy, which was hitherto being undertaken as software division of Digitronics.
Digitronics was founded on 17th of Sep 1990 by a group of computer professionals with the primary objective of providing professional IT services including third-party maintenance of PCs and Peripherals, customized software solutions and turnkey IT projects. Presently, besides these activities, Digitronics is also a leading player in sales of branded PCs and distribution of IT Products.
BUSY was launched at IT' ASIA' 94 held at pragati maidan, New Delhi and has received an overwhelming response since then. It has an installation base of over 1,50,000 including the prestigious ones like World Bank, India International center, All India management Association (AIMA), Amity Business school, Delhi Public School, Children Book Trust, LG Chemicals, Wembley Laboratories (makers of QUICKFIX adhesive), Asian Paints, Plaza cables, Baron International (AKAI TV), Essel Shyam Communication, Archana Airways …
BUSY is sold and supported all over the country through an ever-increasing network of Channel Partners. More and more computer training institutes are also taking up BUSY to teach computerized accounting.

  • Harish Chander (Chairman)
    Mr. Harish Chander, a science graduate, has over 50 years of experience of business with specialization in exports. Working in a non-executive capacity, Mr. Harish Chander is the guiding spirit of the organisation.
  • Dinesh Kumar Gupta (Managing Director)
    An electronics engineering graduate from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (Formerly Delhi Institute of Technology), Mr. Dinesh Kumar Gupta has over 31 years of experience in IT industry. His experience includes software development, firmware development, hardware designing and customer support. Being one of the founders of Digitronics, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Gupta has more than 28 years of experience of managing business.
  • Rajesh Gupta (Director)
    An electrical engineering graduate from Delhi Technological University (Formerly Delhi College of Engineering), Mr. Rajesh Gupta has over 27 years of experience in business software development. He started his career with customized software development but soon shifted the focus to packaged software. Leading a team of software engineers, he has been instrumental in the development of BUSY.
BUSY Enterprise Solution
Although most of the requirements of a business organisation are met by using the standard BUSY software, some organisations do have certain specific requirements that are not available in standard BUSY. For such organisations, BusyWin (Windows-based BUSY) offers the possibility of customisation. The customisation could be in terms of:
  • Generation of some Organisation-specific Report / MIS
  • Generation of Organisation-specific Data Entry Screens
Such a solution, consisted of a standard BusyWin coupled with the customised software developed as per the requirement of the organisation, is termed as BUSY Enterprise Solution.
To understand the concept of the same, we will first have to understand the architecture of BusyWin.
BusyWin (BUSY 3.0) has been designed using three-tier architecture.
First tier is the front-end. This tier accepts inputs from the user and gives the desired reports.
Second tier is business logic that is invoked by the front-end (first tier) to write or read data from the databases.
Third tier is the actual databases where the data is stored.
Now, if an organisation wants a customised Report / MIS or Data Entry Module, that is not provided in Standard BusyWin, the same can be developed by any third party software developer using the functions provided in the second tier of BusyWin. To maintain the integrity of databases, direct access to BUSY databases is not allowed.
Future Roadmap
The concept of BUSY Enterprise Solutions is still in the initial phase, though we have already done some prestigious projects. A broad roadmap for us from here would be as below:
  1. Build a detailed document on functions provided by the second tier of BUSY.
  2. Build a community of software developers, who can customise BUSY and deliver BUSY Enterprise Solutions. Such developers would be called BUSY Certified Developers.
  3. Identify partners with capability of delivering BUSY Enterprise Solutions. Such partners would be called BUSY Solution Partners. Such partners would also be encouraged to write standard utilities around BUSY. These utilities, after due testing and quality control, would also be promoted through BUSY Channel Partners.

BUSY offers a range of accounting softwares to cater to the needs of different business segments. The primary editions offered by BUSY are Basic, Standard & Enterprise.
Whereas Basic edition is available in 1 variant (Single-User) only - Standard & Enterprise editions are available in 3 variants (Single-User, Multi-User and Client-Server) each.

Training & Implementation
Though BUSY is a very user-friendly product, you might still require a BUSY expert to train your staff or to implement BUSY as per the needs of your organisation in order to enable you to make use of BUSY most effectively. The implementation includes understanding the needs of your organisation and configuring BUSY accordingly.
After-sales Services
  • Password Recovery
    If you forget your password, you can get the same recovered from us. For that, you have to send us the backup of the data.
  • Data Recovery
    If your data gets corrupted because of any reason like virus attack, media failure or sudden power failure etc., we can try recovering the same either fully or partially, though it is not guaranteed. Again, you have to send us the backup of your data.

  • Security Device Replacement
    Security Devices like Key Diskette / Dongle etc. are covered under one year warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase of software. After the expiry of warranty period, if a security device develops some fault because of any reason, the replacement of the same will be chargeable. For that, you have to return the faulty device to us alongwith the necessary replacement charges.
Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)
After the expiry of warranty period, you may go for an AMC with us by paying the necessary AMC Charges. The AMC covers:
  • Free Replacement of Security Device (Dongle)
  • Unlimited Telephonic and E-mail Support

Training
As the user base of BUSY is growing, the need for BUSY-trained accountants is also growing proportionately. To address the same, Busy Infotech has now started setting up BUSY Training Centres. These training centres are called BUSY Academy. Students passing out from these institutes are called BUSY Certified Accountants (BCA).
The admission to BCA Course is done on the basis of an eligibility test that is conducted by the respective academy. The test consists of objective type questions on accounting and computers. The successful candidates are entitled to join the academy. The unsuccessful candidates can go through a one-month pre-BUSY course at the academy to prepare themselves for admission to BCA Course at the BUSY academy.
After the conclusion of course, a written test is conducted by the respective academy with the guidelines of Busy Infotech. The successful candidates are issued BCA Certificate by Busy Infotech. Performance grade of the student is mentioned on the certificate. The unsuccessful students can appear for examination again in the next cycle of tests.
The database of successful students is maintained by Busy Infotech and is also proposed to be posted at the company website in near future. Busy Infotech will also help in the placement of such students with BUSY Users and Channel Partners.

Partnerships
Busy Infotech is always on lookout for partnerships that would enhance the value-delivery system to it's Customers. The various types of partnership opportunities that are being offered by Busy Infotech currently are as below:
  1. BUSY Channel Partner
    These are value-added resellers of BUSY and are responsible for training, implementation and support to the clients. An ideal BUSY Channel Partner would be one having knowledge in IT as well as Accounts & Finance.
  2. BUSY Solution Partner
    These are responsible for extending the functionality of BUSY software by developing customised reports, data entry screens and/or add-ons around BUSY. An ideal BUSY Solution Partner would be a software development organisation.
  3. BUSY Product Partner
    These are the software development organisations who are using either BUSY Financial Engine or any component of it in their software (product or customised software solution).
  4. BUSY OEM Partner
    These are the organisations who bundle BUSY software or any variant of it alongwith their products. These are typically PC Mfrs. or System Integrators who want to offer complete solution to their clients. This option, though, is open to mfrs. of other streams too.
  5. BUSY Education Partner
    These are the organisations offering BCA (BUSY Certified Accountant) course. These organisations are typically the coaching institutes offering short to medium term courses in computers and/or accounts
